Uncemented hemiarthroplasty in a case of post-polio residual paralysis patient with transcervical femur fracture with dysplastic femur: A surgical technical challenge

Introduction: Technical difficulties in managing a case of transcervical femur fracture post-polio residual paralysis patient with dysplastic femur. Case Report: We present 66 year male Post-Polio Paralysis walking Hand to knee gait who sustained Femur fracture. The faced this were narrow medullary canal, coxa valgus, greater trochanter, hypoplastic lesser Shallow acetabulum, inability compare the length after insertion trial implant opposite limb due underdeveloped and shortened affected limb.Conclusion: try emphasise on preoperative preparations that need be done terms CT scan pre operative estimation canal diameter, keeping back-up an array implants including CDH hip stems, technique measuring vertical horizontal offset before neck osteotomy extraction head recreating implantation, increased anteversion prevent dislocation shallow proper closure capsule.
